Serious security for roller shutter doors - At last!

The Lock 'n' Roller solves a common problem with thieves opening roller shutter doors on commercial buildings and using them to remove goods in bulk. The Lock 'n' Roller helps you to keep the thieves out!

Easily fitted to the majority of roller shutter doors, each double-sided Lock 'n' Roller kit includes two locking plates and two high security Squire locks so that the bottom corners of the door can be secured to the floor. The thief can see from outside the building that there is some serious security fitted to the door, so he knows it's no longer an easy target.

A double-sided kit includes two locks that are keyed-alike, meaning that they are both operated with the same key. A double-sided kit also includes a left- and a right-sided locking plate - these are mirror images of each other.

All Lock 'n' Roller kits include all fixings required and a straight-shank 14mm masonry drill bit (an SDS-Plus drill bit is available as an option).

Lock 'n' Roller Design Details and Fitting Requirements

Constructed out of heavy duty laser-cut, folded and welded steel plate, the Lock 'n' Roller locking plate is finished with a zinc phosphate pretreatment under the powder coating, to give maximum protection against the weather.

The drilling is kept to a minimum as a result of the high grade Liebig chemical resin capsule only needing a 14mm diameter hole in the concrete and a suitable masonry drill bit is included in the kit (an SDS-Plus drill bit is available as an option).

The locking plate gives good protection to the Squire padlock as a result of it being sided - i.e. the plate fitted to the left side of the door is a mirror image of the plate fitted to the right side of the door.

The frame of the door itself protects the lock from the outer side, whilst allowing sufficient space to fit the key into the lock! The padlock itself gives excellent protection to the main locking bolt as a result of the lock body having no cut-out on the top face - the shackle and the top of the locking bolt are completely inaccessible from above.

The GD400 Garage Door Lock will fit inside or outside most metal, glass fibre, plastic or wooden garage "up and over" doors and conventional doors, not suitable for roller shutter doors. Comes complete with angle bracket and back plate, ground tube, masonary drill, all fasteners and Bulldog Super Lock Bolt.

Operation

The bar locks onto the anchor unit with a heavy duty, concealed padlock. When locked, the heavy duty bar prevents the garage door from being opened.

Fitment

Fix the solid steel base plate In front of garage door with two expandable security raw bolts provided.The Defender unit then locks onto the steel base with the included Padlock. we recommend 4-5 inches of good solid concrete outside the closed garage door for this application.
